Wonderful addition to my diabetes recipe book. I have a husband with type II diabetes and there are 3 other relatives that suffer with the disease also. I have found this book to be an invaluable addition when planning meals and family get togethers. I often stray from the recipes I have by adding and substituting fruits or vegetables to my salads and casseroles and this easy guide is perfect. My husband loves the additions that have actually proved very beneficial to controlling his sugar levels. Now I can prepare healthy snacks for the entire family, with foods we all enjoy, hopefully deterring my kids from getting this hereditary disease in the future. This book has made my life easier when preparing meals, and mostly contains foods we were already eating. It is a well researched list that let me know which foods to increase by teaching me the benefits. One thing I would like to emphasize is that this list contains easily obtainable foods that you can buy in the super market and doesn’t require you to make an expensive trip to the health food store. Its a guide you will refer to time and time again.

Very helpful My husband has just been diagnosed with early onset of diabetes type 2. We are starting to watch his food intake, types of food, etc., but we are new to this and don’t really know what is “good” and what is “bad” other than the basic less carbs, less sugar; in the end we became frustrated as we realized there is not much options for him out there. This book helps us to simply and easily identify the types of food, the benefits of each and cooking suggestions. Great guide to put together my daily menu and grocery shopping list! Thank you for putting this together.
