How About Trying All Natural Acne Health Skin Care?

For years there has been a wealth of misinformation about what it is that causes acne pustules, papules, and nodules to form and companies selling acne health skin care products have been exploiting every one of them.  There are companies even now selling special cleansers, toners, and oil free treatments.  All of these formulas contain benzoyl peroxide in them, and you are told to use each step at least twice daily.
If you are using two, or even all three of these individual acne formulas, then that means that you are applying benzoyl peroxide on your skin up to six times per day.  If you don’t know too much about benzoyl peroxide I will tell you that it IS very effective in helping to treat acne, but it has its downside as well.  This compound can be very irritating to the skin, and severe reddening and drying of the skin can occur even when applying lightly only twice per day.
What this means is that if you are using multi-step acne health skin care treatments that require up to six applications of benzoyl peroxide per day, it will probably turn out really bad for your skin.  You don’t need special cleansers, oil free treatments, and toners to get rid of acne.  The development of acne doesn’t have anything to do with dirt, very little to do with oils, and absolutely nothing to do with how toned your skin is.
Dirt does not cause the formation of blackheads and acne, which is actually brought on by hormonal activity that forces the follicular gland to enlarge, and therefore produce greater amounts of sebum.  This is where the thought that oil free products are needed, because the excess sebum mixes with dead skin cells and forms plugs in the follicles.  The Propionibacterium acnes then cause the inflammation that result in acne breakouts.
Your acne health skin care should not be oil free, but must contain natural oils and extracts that will help to control the production of excess amount of sebum.  Maracuja passion fruit extract and Jojoba oil will regulate the production of sebum, so that the moisture balance in the skin always remains perfect.  Balanced production will significantly lower the incidence of plugs forming in the follicles.
An acne health skin care should feature natural compound such as Phytessence Wakame kelp extract, Shea butter, and Capuacu butter for reducing the amount of inflammation in the skin.  The natural antibacterial compound active Manuka honey would kill the Propionibacterium acnes that cause the inflammation that leads to lesions forming.  That would take care of all your problems relating to the formation of acne.
Natural compounds are the most effective answer available for acne health skin care.  They also help keep you looking younger by providing wrinkle reducing antioxidants, and some compounds stimulate the creation of new collagen.  By using natural ingredients in order to treat your skin, you can become acne free and look years younger to boot.

Healthy Habits of Beautiful Skin

“Quality is not an act…it is a habit.”-Aristotle

Don’t Just Sit….Keep Fit! Exercise your mind, body and soul with a daily dose of heart-pounding physical activity. Exercise not only relieves stress and anxiety, but also improves the health of collagen-producing skin tissue known as fibroblast. Leading a sedentary life of inactivity will only pave the way for a host of problematic skin and health concerns! Regular exercise improves blood circulation, eliminates villainous toxins and delivers vital nutrients (including oxygen) to regenerating skin cells. Be sure to promptly cleanse your face and body post-workout to prevent exercise-induced bouts of acne. On a similar note, Natural Skin Shop recommends a makeup-free sweat session paired with loose-fitting clothes! Constricting apparel and cosmetics inadvertently trap harmful bacteria and toxins inside pores… Now take a deep breath… Lumirance Gel Cleanser eliminates surface impurities with a harmonizing blend of purifying AHAs and soothing botanicals. PS: Rosacea patients should opt for low-impact activities that won’t flare or aggravate the sensitive condition. Yoga is an ideal activity for problematic skin as it effectively reduces stress hormones and increases blood flow…. Hello Mrs. Glow!

Exfoliate and Speed Up The Turnover Rate! Exfoliation forces your skin to function properly by swiftly eradicating unhealthy skin cells thereby making room for new epidermal growth. A healthy epidermis is renewed approximately every 28 days, however, a bevy of factors can interfere with the skin’s natural reincarnation process. Sun damage, acne and drying cosmetics can all disrupt the skin’s ability to evenly shed dead skin cells. If that weren’t enough, cellular renewal naturally declines with age. Pick up the pace with a daily exfoliant such as Peel RX Lactic Acid 5% Daily Exfoliator. For a more intense form of exfoliation, skin peels are ideal!

Drink and You Shall Receive! Water is the source of life….quite literally. The adult human body is comprised of more than 50% water. It only makes sense that H20 provides quality nourishment to the body’s largest organ…skin! Revive a dull, dehydrated complexion by increasing your intake of water. For a topical solution, Mizu Hydrate Serum-Pure features hyaluronic acid, which effectively binds water to dehydrated skin cells.

Don’t Touch That Dial! Phones are loaded with acne-inducing bacteria! ABC News reported on the hazardous microorganisms proliferating on the average cell phone.

“New research out of the United Kingdom found mobile phones are a technological petri dish for tens of thousands of germs. Why? Germs multiply in warm places. Between the heat the phones generate and the germs on faces and hands, you’ve got a bacterial breeding ground. Believe it or not, the filthiest phones can spread the dreaded staph bacteria, which can cause everything from skin infections to meningitis.”

To maintain a clear complexion, be sure to keep cellular phones at a distance. If your complexion is already plagued by acne, Glycolic Peels are an effective course of therapy for problematic skin.

Don’t Attempt to Scrub Away Acne! In fact, the dermatological community often frowns upon mechanical exfoliation for the treatment of inflamed acne vulgaris. Overzealous physical exfoliation can create microscopic tears in the skin and spread harmful bacteria. Inflammatory acne is a three-part condition involving an excess of keratin, bacteria and inflammation (an autoimmune response to the infection). The Jessner Peel combats acne on all fronts by dissolving dead skin cells and disinfecting the surface of the skin. Chemical peels effectively disrupt the formation of acne by accelerating the keratinization process and eradicating clogged pores. Avoiding abrasive scrubs containing irregular-shaped, coarse granules is advisable.

Know Your Acne For Proper Treatment

Acne Vulgaris: A: Cystic acne on the face, B: ...

Image via Wikipedia

A person goes through acne at least once in a lifetime. Knowing the different types of acne would guide you on what type you are dealing with. This will also guide you on how to treat it and how to have a blemish-free face again.

The Most Common Types of Acne

Whiteheads and blackheads are the most common types of acne. As their names suggest whiteheads are white and blackheads come in black spots. So while blackheads are generally easily to spot in fair skin, whiteheads are pretty obvious in darker skin. Both are caused by sebum, dead skin cells and bacteria. However, among the two blackheads are very difficult to remove. Meanwhile the whiteheads are easy to pop.

What happens is as oxygen enters the pores of the skin melanin in the skin reacts to it thus causing the formation of blackheads. To get rid of them you would have to pull them out from the roots. On the other hand, white heads need to be popped correctly if you don’t want an infection.

Rosacea Fulminans versus Acne Rosacea

Women aging from 20 to 40 years old you are prone to this type of acne. It generally affects the same areas which Acne Rosacea affects. These are typically whiteheads and pimples that turn to sores and large nodules. It should be treated properly if you want to avoid scars. However, you should treat Rosacea Fulminans at its early signs because it spreads rapidly like fire. The only consolation you have is it stays for a shorter span of time.
