When asked to list the top ways to obtain and maintain optimal health, most would agree that eating right is number one. The fact is that our diet holds the key to how well our body functions and develops. The old saying, ‘we are what we eat’ is truer than many realize.

Without proper nutrition our bodies cannot work efficiently. 1. Snacking

If you have to have a snack, try to eat something good for you. Stay away from the brownies and the cakes. Eat fruits or vegetables. These will help git rid of toxins in your body and they give your body much needed vitamins and minerals.

2. Eating when you are bored

Don’t eat when you are bored. Find something to do to keep you occupied. Read a book or go for a walk. Don’t just sit there in front of the tv and gorge out on potato chips while you are watching your favorite movie.

If you have a lot of time on your hands, try to find a hobby that you are interested in to keep food off your mind. Make sure your hobby doesn’t have anything to do with food.
